(three letters)
We've returned to the ranch for Christmas this year. The drive was safe, we saw the deer, but they thought it better to run away than to run into us. Last night Amy made peppermint bark and some wonderful shortbread cookies. I'd never had peppermint bark until last week, it's interesting, and nothing I ever had before. It's just nice to have a few days of doing nothing, but sit down read my book and blog about nothing. My mother-in-law has been cute. Amy has her convinced that she's been poisoning me because I get headaches pretty regularly when I'm out here. We figured out why I keep getting headaches when I come out to the ranch, MSG. Not that it's a bad thing to use flavor packets, but most of the food she makes uses them, because it drastically decreases the time to make meals. Now that she has been made sensitive to MSG, I've seen her read labels before adding things to what she is making. Other than that, nothing to report than take a look at a few new features on the side bar of this blog.
