(maniac monday)

I had the day off Monday. It is just weird to have days off after spending the last few months working three. While driving Amy to work today, I saw how badly backed up traffic was going north bound on I-25. I left my car there and took the Lightrail downtown to take the express regional bus to Boulder. I had to pick up my paycheck from the Teahouse, so I walked in said hi to everyone and went back to talk to Reid about my paycheck. He pulled out my check and there was a note on there to collect my RTD pass, or else I don't get my check. I told them I'd be back because I had no means to get home with out it. I guess you can say I have a $100 deposit on my bus pass now. I'll get this week or so, no to worry.

While riding back to Denver, I received a phone call saying our car was available to pick up, YIPPIE! Quickly I changed my course to go to the service center to pick up our once deer-damaged car. I thought it was funny that you can give your deductible either credit card, certified cheque or money order, no cash. When I gave them the money order, I had to initial a document that the funds I gave them was secure. Umm... I have to use cash to get the money order, which means I used secured funds to get the money order. Don't you love the paper work our world requires.

Which brings me to grand event on the bus. While on the 8 North Boradway, there were three people directly in front of me. What I believe an intoxicated older Latina, her thug looking tatoo'd son and his girlfriend. He kept eyeing down this guy behind me on the other side of the bus. The older woman had been harassing everyone on the bus, a gentleman who had a dime to pay his fair, an other who came on with three over stuffed day packs and a large garbage bag full of stuff and a sharp looking older man who personally knows the bus driver. The son, who was wearing pink by the way, got up walked over to this guy behind me and started saying some threatening things to him. The older Latina kept saying, "he knows what you're saying, he's just playing dumb." "Yea, that's my son and he knows what you did. He's gunna follow you home when you get off." It just amazes me that people can be like that.

I remeber on Long Island guys acting like that, and my father would say, "guys act like that because they are scared." What makes me laugh at a saying like this, is I've seen what a guy who says threatening things do. Let's just say, he didn't look scared or empty with his threat. I do fear situations like this, just because, I asses the situation and figure out my personal odds if a guy were to come after me. I look at size and build first. Shorter than me, I stand a good chance, but then I try to see if he has a concealed weapon. I then try to figure out, does this person have formal training or not? This indicates to me the probability of him carrying a weapon or not...

Yep, that was random. Needles to say, I picked up the car, drove home to find out the windshield wipers were not just old, but dead. So I pulled in to Checker Auto Parts, bought the new wipers and tried to get them on. Like many newer cars, the Malibu, doesn't allow me to lift the wipers far enough to clean underneath it. With this being the case, I couldn't get the smaller wiper on, so I was starting to loose it. I brought the smaller wiper in to get a bigger one, the clerk came out and told me how change out the wiper. I got the wiper changed, and now the "fluid low" lamp is on. I can not win can I with that car. So now it's Tuesday and I'm in pajamas ready to go to bed, waiting for Amy and sneaking in an entry on my blog.
