Okay, so it has been a month or so since I have last posted to my blog. Let me tell you what is going on then, or a little bit of it:
Family:
We're getting ready for the holiday season, which means two trips to Nebraska, and a visit from my mother and Catherine. Thane, my generous brother-in-law, is on leave and is at the ranch. We were able to visit and host Amy's family for a day, when Thane arrived. This included a trip to the Denver Chop House and Costco. We're not at all pregnant, but we have been able to spend more time with each other. My cousin Bobby has been kicked off of Survivor, so keep cheering for him when you seen him on those poker tournament shows.
Work:
I'm down to two jobs now. I've been scrambling for hours at each one of them, so it's been some what stressful. At the same time with two jobs it allows me to spend one full day with my fantastic wife on Saturdays, unless she makes plans to go to a baby shower or something. I'm one or two steps away from completing my certified trainer process at Old Chicago. This makes the second time for me. One as a server/FOH and this one on the pizza line.
Friends:
I have three friends with newborns with in the last three months and I have more friends who are expecting as soon as Chinese new year of '08. Alas, we are still not pregnant, but we are living through our pregnant friends as well. I have been able to hang out consistently with Joe on Tuesday mornings, so that is a friendship worth fostering, God knows I need some one like Joe in my life. I was able to catch up with Jim last week and we're excited about what is going on in our lives.
School:
I have less than two months until school starts, and I have been reading some of the recommended material. It has been enlightening to say the least. At the same time, I have to put together a five hundred word essay for a scholarship by the end of this month. I'm excited about it.
Me:
I'm still out of shape and struggling to keep my relationship with God. Struggling in a good sense, as Wade mentioned, if you fight to hate what is evil and cling to what is good, then you are just making a dent in your relationship with God. How true and scary that is. I'm liking the fact I have a schedule built so I can do nothing but read my Bible on the way to work and pray as I walk around to and fro.
