Okay, so I am blessed by God, really I am. He finally answered our prayer about whether or not Hacienda Colorado was a good place for me or not, He's allowed for me to go back and work in Boulder and He's shown me that my friends are real supportive of what I do.I made about six or seven phone calls on my shameful drive back home, from being terminated from Hacienda Colorado. First one was to Amy, the next one to Lenny. Lenny is a former Kung Fu student and restaurant owner/operator. He now has five different concepts that are all very Boulder. After I called him I believe I called all the managers I knew in Old Chicago to see if they needed a cook. After a few hours, Lenny called me back, knowing what I wanted to do in the industry, he said to call the next day and he would see what he could do. About five o'clock last night, he called back with two positions I could handle, one in the kitchen and the other in the FOH. I'm happy about a job, but ecstatic about working in Boulder once again.
As Amy and I head out on our vacation to celebrate our first anniversary, I am at peace knowing that at nine o'clock Monday morning I will be going to work. The God I serve is an awesome God!
