I have been reading the Psalms lately, and specifically the ones King David wrote. I found an easy to read commentary on line that has a Presbyterian bias to it, but it's the wisdom I'm looking for, not the slant. It gives a rough idea as to when and why David wrote such things, for that is good. Some day, I'll be wise enough to use it when I talk and encourage people.
Today I made note of this one, because I can only picture my father in heaven like this. The
LORD examines the righteous,
but the wicked and those who love violence
his soul hates.
On the wicked he will rain
fiery coals and burning sulfur;
a scorching wind will be their lot.
For the LORD is righteous,
he loves justice;
upright men will see his face.
Psalm 11:5-7
