(completely different)

Yesterday being Sunday, I've found a new excitement to the day. In the past, I've pretty much have had to work every Sunday night for the past 5-6 years, and now with Upstairs open, I have Sundays "off." I go in and place the food order, after that I have the day to enjoy. This Sunday could have set itself off as a day to resent the Kingdom. We had a Congregational Bible Talk/Family Group Leaders' Meeting at the same time one of the women in the teens was getting baptized at the same time, and of course we had our Worship service before all of that.

At 7:00 am I was headed out to build my order for Shamrock and call it in before heading to church. After getting my order together, my food rep wasn't answering the phone, so I had to call him later. Church started at 10:00, so I went home real quick to get the charger to my phone and some other oddities that I don't usually carry to church. Worship was great, Jim, Deacon of Worship, came up and led the songs. Tim, who just moved here from Kansas shared the communion for us and then the teens were WOOSHED off the small kitchen for the break out lesson. Tim gave the lesson there about developing our own convictions.

I spun my wheels a bit before the leaders' meeting started, I ate my lunch and the lunch provide, as well as call in my food order. I talked to a few people during lunch, like Henry and his fiance, JD, and the Jacksons. They all have special places in my heart. The Jacksons have a daughter the same age as Lianne and she is now recently divorced. I feel for her and I get protective over her as I do my two little sisters. The Jacksons were super interested in how things were working with, the job, house, marriage, the teens, leadership... When the meeting finally got underway, it was about 2:00 or so.

Chris spoke and gave a barn burner of a lesson as how married couples need to lover their neighbors, in their neighborhoods, YEEOUCH! It was encouraging because I spoke to both Wade and Debbie and they were interested in our views on the new ministry staff position that is open. After that, I made an appointment to hang with Rob on the Campus of CU for Friday, and...

It was like my old Sundays when I was in the teens the first time. I don't know if was because Amy wasn't around, or if I just relieved not to go to work that night, or if it was autumn and I do well then. What ever it was, when I came home, I was a bit lonely because Amy wasn't around, but I was encouraged to be able to be in my home and just sit around.

...Because I've been behind with my posts I'll try to get you updated soon. This long lost blog is done and I'll try to get you filled in when I have another chance to spend typing.
