What goes into choosing an email address? Most of us try to choose things that mean something to us, given names, nicknames, favorite activities, jobs, hobbies, songs, performing artists, obsessions, etc. At this point, you might be wondering why my email/blog address is krazywakfunky? I'm not too sure as to why I chose this other than I was in a weird phase in life about ten years ago, and it seems to work. It comes from the song "The Humpty Dance," by Digital Underground.

It is buried in the last verse of the song, but it was something that just get tossed in the rap, not to sure as to why it is there, or even if it was just a sound bite to throw in there. Anyway, it was something that popped in my head when I was trying to pick my Yahoo! email address. The only thing different about it is I chose to spell it without "C's" so it wouldn't be easily identified. People ask me, "what is your email address?" I would reply, "Crazy Wack Funky, with no C's." and of course, I would get, "how do you spell funky with a C?" I personally like it, it has no numbers, it wasn't corny and truly harmless. If you know the reference, then you know I' like the song, but in all honesty, no one figures out the reference.

Now, I still use the name but on Gmail and Blogger. I also use my real name for "professional" email account, it's a little more mature since I'm 32 years old. I also like the fact that with Gmail I can check out all my email address by logging in once. So that's the story. what started as just a quick blurb in a song is now some one's reality.
